This blog post provides information on the second and last Hindi film released by the Bollywood studio Dharma Productions and starring Sachin Khedekar and Daisy Shah. The blog post provides a review of how the film fared at the box office as well as why this film was not as successful as it's predecessor. The post provides information and a review on the film, and looks at how the film was marketed and whether or not it performed well at the box office. The second Hindi film by Dharma Productions, Dhamaal 2 was released in India on 15 December 2005. The film opened to extremely positive reviews as well as extremely negative reviews as well as very strong opening week numbers. The film went on to be a "flop" at the box office with average review scores of 3/10 by the Indian Film News Network (IFN). While the first film, Dhamaal was released in 2005 and only had one major actor in it (Sachin Khedekar), Dhamaal 2's cast had many major actors (including famous Bollywood actor John Abraham) as well as two Indian Television actresses (Daisy Shah who appeared on the television show Roadies, and Yuvika Choudry who appeared on the television show Aahat). With so many new faces appearing in Dhamaal 2, it came as no surprise that this film was not successful at the box office. The film began production sometime in 2006. However no official news of production was released until mid 2006. The film began production after the Dharma Productions producer Karan Johar signed both Sachin Khedekar and Daisy Shah for this film. Soon after, other actors were signed on including John Abraham, Rajpal Yadav, Yuvika Chaudhry, and Om Puri. Like many other Hindi films released that year, Dhamaal 2 featured songs written by the Indian music composer duo Vishal Shekhar. The song, "Hawa Hawai" was sung by Vishal Dadlani while the second song "Phone Pe Ghuma" was sung by Shekhar Ravjiani. The music was generally well received by both critics and listeners. Referring to the film's "first song" (Hawa Hawai) Raja Sen of Rediff.com wrote: The second song (Phone Pe Ghuma) which features Yuvika Chaudhary and Daisy Shah was also written by Shekhar Ravjiani and composed by Vishal-Shekhar. The song rocked with the Punjabi beats and despite the rising popularity of new Bollywood singer Ram Charan Teja, it left Ram Charan Teja as a favourite for Bollywood music lovers as it proved that Vishal-Shekhar were not just another peppy pair capable of making only quick numbers... cfa1e77820
